Actually I've gotten quite a few of these plane over the moon shots in the last few months, this is just the best one. Though it does take some luck and good timing, it helps living in the flight path of three international airports and two smaller executive airports.
I live on the ocean, and if the wind is coming from the right direction, all the air traffic start their landing approaches from the sea, so on a good night maybe a hundred planes will be coming in from all different angles. Sooner or later some will pass over the moon. The first few shots I got were just accidents, then I started looking for these kind of shots. Perhaps I'll start a collection.
